I work as a tutor at Texas A&M University, teaching first-year students introductory engineering courses. In this role, I helped students grasp challenging concepts in mathematics, physics, and problem-solving techniques essential to engineering. My experience also included assisting with homework, preparing students for exams, and providing guidance on effective study strategies.
Beyond my university tutoring experience, I have also informally tutored peers and younger students in various subjects such as math and science, which has further honed my ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
What I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic journeys. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the moment when a concept “clicks” for a student and they gain confidence in their abilities. Tutoring allows me to foster a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore their potential. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into manageable steps and tailoring my approach to each individual’s unique strengths and challenges. Helping students succeed not only academically but also in building self-confidence is what makes tutoring so fulfilling for me.
